Rubicon Athletics

Personal project. I’m a bit of a gym rat (former crossfit enthusist). Rubicon Athletics was an idea for an apparel brand for crossfitters. The name Rubicon is from the river in Italy that Caeser crossed – essentially the point of no return (alea iacta est – the die is cast). In crossfit there is a mentality to commit to hard work and not selling yourself short. The RX conveniently symbolizes the crossing and also stands for RX (as prescribed in crossfit terminology) which means doing the workout as planned. Nobody said Crossfit is normal. T photographic collages are made from public domain photographs – using the logo as a container for the artwork.
